We don't rent satellite phones. But we can recommend someone who does -- click here
For those of you who haven't used one, I can tell you that satellite phones are some pretty cool technology.
You can be standing on the banks of the Kilombero River in the Selous Game Reserve in the wildest place you've ever been,
and talk to the family back home in the USA at the push of a speed-dial button. Although this use of a satellite phone is nice,
in a medical emergency you need to be able to activate dial-a-doctor, medical evacuation services from these remote areas.
You need a satellite phone. You can rent one for the duration of your adventure at quite reasonable rates.

The Hunting Report about the best type of satellite phone for your destination --
because there are places (eg.,Tanzania) where InMarSat phones work better than Iridium, while in other locations
(eg.,north slope of the Brooks Range, Alaska) where Iridium phones work and InMarSat phones don't.
