Wilderness Medical Systems TSAVO is perfect for a short trek into the Rockies on a geologic site, rendering aid in the jungles of Bolivia or beside you in the Land Rover as you make your daily rounds. Well-supplied for use as a small business emergency kit or for family disaster preparedness, TSAVO is extremely well-organized into clear modules and housed in a robust, virtually indestructible, outer bag. TSAVO helps you handle the kinds of basic medical emergencies that tend to crop up when a group of people get together. This kit easily fits prescription medications for your group, making it a dream to have and use. For larger parties or more remote locations, consider taking a PAMIR or ALTAI.
There are supplies and instruments for Minor Aches and Pains; Bandaging; Blisters & Sprains; Burns, Rashes & Stings; CPR; Dental; Eye, Nose & Throat; OTC medications and Wounds as well as first aid instructions printed on waterproof paper.
TSAVO is frequently used for remote base camps and as an emergency preparedness first aid kit for small businesses in case of natural disaster.
How Is TSAVO Best Used?
The TSAVO is best left in your truck or at basecamp and a MAYFLY or DASH used on your person for short outings. Ideally, the TSAVO kit should be as close at hand as possible in case more supplies are needed quickly. When supplies are needed, calculate twice the time/distance to get to the TSAVO kit and back to the injured party. TSAVO carries enough supplies to reasonably cover your group of 1-8 while working with in the field. It is a good idea to have a larger kit (ALTAI or KILIMANJARO) at headquarters for resupply and more capability.
I always include one of the two kits I own on any trip in the field. To date they have only been called upon to dress blisters or cuts or minor burns from a hot cooking pot handle. I feel the product is brilliant and consider it standard kit on every trip.

All looks good, love the zip lock packaging. In this day and age, customer service and customer care is number one. I vote with my checkbook. I want to have a TQE experience… Total Quality Experience. You can bet I will be calling you in the future.
For me, most important of all… is to be prepared to take care of my family should the need ever arise, therefore I chose to purchase my medical kit from Wilderness Medical Systems. Be Prepared. It was not only practiced in our Boy Scout Troop as I grew up, it was demonstrated by my dad. That is no doubt why I chose the responsibilities that define me today. Now as a Captain with a Police Department, a licensed EMT in the state of Tennessee, a member of the local Rescue Squad, and an adjunct faculty member teaching outdoor leadership/education classes at two local Christian universities, I have seen my share of emergencies where persons were not prepared to handle them. Every moment possible, I love to share God’s creation with family, friends, students and others with outdoor activities such as camping, rappelling, caving, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, scuba diving, facilitating challenge courses, and more. The more remote and deeper into the wilderness, the better. I even facilitated an outdoor program with at risk youth through the police department for three years. Unfortunately, I have splinted broken bones and dislocations, cleaned wounds, stopped bleeding, performed CPR, dealt with hypothermia, dealt with anaphylactic shock, treated other forms of shock, and many more first aid activities while in the wilderness. For me, most important of all… is to be prepared to take care of my family should the need ever arise, therefore I chose to purchase my medical kit from Wilderness Medical Systems.

The owner of Wilderness Medical Systems, Donna von Nieda, was extremely responsive to my requests for information and in helping me create a special order first aid kit for geologic field work in the Tobacco Root Mountains near Cardwell, Montana. The kit was fully stocked, catalogued, very well organized, and reasonably priced. It was shipped to a predetermined location on time and she followed through to make sure that it had arrived in time for my arrival. I have now recommended Wilderness Medical Systems to my management, to other petroleum exploration company managements, and to folks at the Indiana University Geologic Field Station in Cardwell, MT. I will make sure to use the services of Wilderness Medical Systems on my next field trip.

What’s The Deal With Organization?
It doesn’t matter what you have in your medical kit. If you can’t find it quickly, you might as well not have it. This is why we are manic about organization! The TSAVO contents are organized into clear modules with high visibility labeling, individual content cards and a master directory.
Room For Personal Medications
If you travel away from home you need to take personal prescription medications with you, period. Certain situations require more than just what can be found in a standard kit. The TSAVO has been designed to carry your personal meds so everything’s in one bag.
