DASH is the kit that fits a wide variety of supplies into a compact bag that works well in your car, truck, plane, Jeep, snowmobile – anywhere you need a kit where all the essentials are in one place – lashed to a headrest or stowed nearby, quick and easy to get to.
You never want to go to your jobsite without at least this much. Even a routine day can turn nasty if something unexpected happens…a broken bone, lacerated hand, severe sprain…the list goes on… Let’s face it. Stuff happens all the time and it just makes sense to be prepared.
Having DASH can save you time and money, plus a ton of aggravation.

There are supplies and instruments for Minor Aches and Pains; Bandaging; Blisters & Sprains; Burns, Rashes & Stings; CPR; Dental; Eye, Nose & Throat; OTC medications and Wounds as well as first aid instructions printed on waterproof paper.
Our smaller kit, the MAYFLY, has fewer supplies. Fewer supplies equals less capability. DASH, in contrast, has just a tad more supplies to cover up to 4 people. A good idea would be to have a larger kit, such as the PAMIR or ALTAI, nearby for quick refills and additional capability.
“I Want To Carry Less”
An additional MAYFLY bag can be supplied to carry a smaller selection of items from DASH when you’re out on short outings by foot. Capability is reduced in favor of lighter weight/volume. When you take the items packed into a MAYFLY bag, your DASH should be left nearly (say, in your truck) for quick access should the need arise. While away from your base, if supplies from DASH are needed, you must calculate twice the time/distance to get to the kit and back.
I have been a user of Wilderness Medical kits for several years. After a lot of research including consulting with physicians, I came to the conclusion that the Wilderness Medical kits were far and away the most comprehensive and practical medical kits commercially available. I have owned several of their kits from the old Slickrock (discontinued) to the Dash to the Tsavo. My Wilderness Medical kit has traveled the world with me from kayaking the high Arctic, crossing the Patagonian Ice Cap, and trekking through the Himalayas. I recently ordered another Dash as a gift for a friend who will be hiking through Kazakhstan. In addition, the owners are terrific to deal with and provide great customer service. I highly recommend these kits.

Just got back from Alaska, kit was very useful! My father went with me on a backcountry raft trip — do it yourself type of trip. He’s not in the best of health. Came through it fine, but he’s on blood thinning medicine. Couple of minor mishaps where the kit came in handy. Thought you might like the feedback.
I like to go outdoors a lot and have on many occasions not had the necessary bandages or supplies necessary when climbing, biking or hiking in the wilderness. I noticed that you included some items in your kits that I wouldn’t have even thought of. To me though, all of that would not have mattered had your service been bad. Fortunately, working with your company has been a joy. I had a tiny issue with my kit and emailed you. You responded very promptly and you were amazingly pleasant. Not only did you address and resolve my problem, but you also went out of your way to make sure I was satisfied with the products and service. Thank you for your excellent service. It is the best I have experienced in a long, long time.
The Merrickville Venturer Scouts partake in many high adventure activities such as seven day wilderness canoe trips and snowshoe hiking up 4,000′ foot mountains. In many cases professional medical attention is days away. It is imperative for our risk management that both our adults and youth have the necessary tools at their disposal in the event of a medical emergency. All our existing first aid kits have been retrofitted with the Wilderness Medical Systems Flashcards as they provide clear and concise instructions that can quickly be referenced under pressure. Going forward we have standardized on the Wilderness Medical Systems first aid kits as they provide a good combination of top quality items, perfect for our extensive trips. The first set of six Wilderness Medical Systems Dash kits went into our emergency kits for our winter mountaineering. The excellent customer service received to personalize the kits was a bonus!

What’s The Deal With Organization?
It doesn’t matter what you have in your medical kit. If you can’t find it quickly, you might as well not have it. This is why we are manic about organization! The DASH contents are organized into clear modules with high visibility labeling and individual content cards.
Room For Personal Medications
If you travel away from home you need to take personal prescription medications with you, period. Certain situations require more than just what can be found in a standard kit. The DASH has been designed to carry your personal meds so everything’s in one bag.
