- MAYFLY is especially suited for local destinations/locations, where medical care is within 1 hour or less.
- MAYFLY is configured for 1-2 people on very short (1/2 day or less) outings.
- MAYFLY best for those wishing to forgo some capability in order to conserve space/weight.
- There are supplies and instruments for Minor Aches and Pains; Bandaging; Blisters & Sprains; Burns, Rashes & Stings; Eye; OTC medications and Wounds as well as waterproof card with simple first aid instructions.
- MAYFLY is 9” x 3.5” x 6” and weighs approximately 1 1/3 pounds.
- No, MAYFLY cannot accommodate your own prescription medications. We recommend bringing along a larger kit for that purpose.
- If you take nothing, you will not be prepared in the event something happens. Emergencies are, by their very nature, unexpected. Taking along MAYFLY will allow you to, at the very least, be able to treat any minor incident in the field and buy you some time to get to a place with more supplies and assistance.

“I Want To Carry Even Less…”
We pack a small selection of items from MAYFLY into a heavy-duty zipperlock bag (called the 10 Essentials module) if you’re forced to take very few items with you. Sometimes there just isn’t enough space for everything, so choices must be made. Capability is reduced in favor of lighter weight/volume. When you do this, MAYFLY should be in a nearby truck and a larger kit (TSAVO, PAMIR or ALTAI) at headquarters or base camp.
